8/2/01 - More excitement, more building! 

                                Simsville TIMES is still rebuilding, excuse our dust. We have added a new layout designer named "Flashman" and hasn't he done a wonderful job? Thanks, Flashman!  Our new layout for the homepage is working great, and more is soon to come. Soon coming is our brand new site, www.LlamaLounge.8m.com -  Where you can sign up to be a member of the launch party at Llama Lounge when SimsONLINE is released. We are looking forward to seeing all your Sims there. Everyone is getting excited about the new games coming out, and also the new expansion. Read the next story for more Info!     

8/2/01 - Hot Date!  

                                Maxis recently announced the release of Hot Date, the newest expansion pack for The Sims! This expansion will add a totally new aspect of the game, the downtown section! Here we can visit shops on our date, eat at a restaurant or just enjoy a night on the town! Boy, these Maxis people are busy! 

6/26/01 - Llama Lounge. 

                                Simsville TIMES is pleased to announce that our online coffee shop and bar will be named 

"Llama Lounge!"

                    A Big thank you goes out to Lynn Zephyr for the name. This is as far as we know the only PROMISED area for your Sims to meet online in the upcoming game SimsONLINE by ANY website. We would like to point out that this name and idea is tentative and may be subject to changes if the game does not allow this, but as far as we can tell from the screenshots and info on the game, it will be smooth sailing for the Llama Lounge. If all goes well, this will be the hot spot for ALL your Sims to relax and meet mother fellow Simmers. We are as excited as you are and CANNOT wait for the release. The design for the Llama Lounge is already in the works with the existing tools we have . . . look for screenshots of The Sims version soon!

            6/25/01 - Adding new content and services.

  I want to first tell you about the site and then inform of the future of SimsvilleTIMES. The site was one of the original sites up months before The Sims was released, but stopped operating nearly a year ago. We provided honest site reviews, exclusive interviews and fresh news about the Sim community. With the excitement of both SimsONLINE and Simsville ( and the Sims 2 ) mounting, we are reopening!

  We are the first site to promise a REVIEW weekly of the hottest SPOTS your virtual Sims will be able to visit in SimsONLINE, saving your precious time hopping from place to place searching for a suitable place to Sim.

  Also we hope to be able to provide you with a the Simsville Times Coffee shop for your Sims to mingle ( if the game allows )!!!!!!!!! 

  We also will be producing a newsletter strictly for the Sim community for articles and exciting happenings in the community, and user comments about different SimsONLINE spots to visit. More exciting updates coming soon!

            6/24/01 - Looking for a few good Simmers.

                            Are you looking to become a part of Sim history? Then join with us and help us become the LEADING site for ALL Sim related computer games. We are looking for volunteers in the following categories. 

  1, I'm looking for a reviewer.  I also review sites, but all the reviews are to have 2 points of view on them...

  2. Anyone who creates items or skins that is looking for an output of their creations.

  3. A news dog. Someone to sniff out the stories in the Sim community.
